Neon Leo

Maths, with someone cheering.

Neon Leo is the first Neon Labs title that is not a game to win. It practises the times table — and addition, subtraction and division alongside it — with children between five and twelve, in rounds of ten questions with nothing on a clock.

Leo is the app. A glowing face drifts across the screen, praises an answer that lands and is sorry about one that does not — never a red cross. A first wrong answer is not a failure either: the question stays on the table and the child gets a second go, and only then does Leo show the answer.

The difficulty finds the child by itself, climbing after three answers straight away and easing back after two misses. A grown-up can pin it to easy, medium or hard instead. Answers come as four tiles for the youngest and as a number pad from level six.

Because it is built for children, everything that leads out of the app — the account, the privacy policy, the store when there is one — sits behind a parental gate. Player names are generated by the network and cannot be typed. No ads, no tracking.

Inside the app

Ten questions. No clock.

For grown-ups

What a parent should know.

The app opens straight into a round — no sign-up wall, no e-mail asked of a child. Anything that leaves it (the account, this site, the privacy policy) sits behind a parental gate. Player names are generated by the network and cannot be typed or edited, so nothing a child writes can reach another player. No ads, no tracking, no third-party analytics.

From the studio

Built by Neon Labs.

Neon Leo is made by Neon Labs, a tiny independent studio making simple, ad-free games — and, now and then, something that is not a game. The same promise on everything we ship.
