Neon Circuit

Three laps. The clock is watching.

Neon Circuit puts you behind a pixel car on a road drawn line by line out of the horizon — corners that arrive faster than you would like, crests that hide what is over them, and rivals who are not going to move over.

There are no lives here, only a clock. Your time is the score. The tarmac is the only place the car is quick: put a wheel on the kerbs and it scrubs speed, go further and the dirt takes most of it. Clip a marker post and you are wrecked — the car stops, the clock does not.

Five circuits, three laps each: the Oval to learn on, then Figure Eight, Octane, Serpent and Vortex, every one of them a real layout with its own corners and crests. Steer by tilting the phone, with arrows in the corner, or with a controller.

Inside the game

Five circuits. One clock.

The line-up

Every corner, before you meet it.

The same maps the game draws in the corner of the screen while you race — one lap of each circuit, with the start line marked. Three laps of any of them is a race.
